The family search site has just added marriage records for Hancock Co., WV. They don’t have digital copies, just a transcription.  West Virginia Vital Records has birth, marriage, death records, some with digital copies, but no marriages for Hancock Co. as of yet.

NOTE: The Mrs. Jennie Hineman mentioned was Jennie Elizabeth Kessler, who was first married to John Herbert Hineman, son of Jacob and Sarah Catherine (Kauffman/Coffman) Hineman. Sarah later married a Grube (see obit).

This Hineman could be related, being he was apparently working in East Liverpool, OH, where some of  “my” Hineman’s also lived. A quick census search did not turn up any obvious candidates, so will need to continue to look.

I am still trying to find this poor girl on census records, but with no age or parents listed, it is difficult. I have also tried searching for other news articles related to this tragedy, but not luck so far.
Kane is in McKean county, and the Hineman’s there don’t appear to be related to mine. [...]
